HPDC Process Engineer

Objective:

 

To monitor & control the HPDC Process, reduce scrap and improve systems which affects product quality and life, change implementation & control, Process & Repeat tool validation of existing products as per the Nemak, Customer and other standard requirements.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Monitor & control the HPDC process and ensure the authorized processes are followed in manufacturing operations on Daily, Weekly & Monthly and analyse & act for improvement on product quality & provide possible solutions for Quality improvements.
  • Daily In-house, Supplier & Customer End Process Related Rejection Monitoring and thermography Analysis.
  • Monitor the Heat treatment and fulfil the CQI-9 Requirement.
  • Update and maintain all necessary technical documents such as PFD, PFMEA, Control plan, Standards & Work instructions.
  • Follow all QMS procedures and documentations related to process engineering.
  • Periodical in-process audits and improvement records to be maintained as pe the ISO, IATF and VDA standards.
  • Monitor and control process changes and engineering changes to reach better quality of the final products and maintaining relevant supporting documents and record of change implementation.
  • Ensure quality feedback systems for on time results to alert & improve the manufacturing through training & documentations.
  • Support to provide on time feedback of all trial castings.
  • Support manufacturing operations to identify the potential failures on HPDC process for continuous improvement to achieve the quality targets (Internal & External)
  • Ensure the Quality requirements of Customer specification of new products & Existing products and provide essential training and awareness to the employees.
  • Knowledge in HPDC Process, Products, Dies and Heat Treatments.
  • Knowledge in QMS Core tools such as APQP, PPAP, Process FMEA & SPC.

 

Position Requirements:

 

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Metallurgy or Automobile engineering
  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in technical role in HPDC process in Aluminium Die Casting Industries. (Cylinder Block Experience will be an added advantage).
  • Excellent interpersonal Skills with detail and analytical oriented.
