International Welding Engineer / Schweißfachingenieur (M/F/D)

Main Responsibilities
- The development of innovative assembly programs for welding processes is a focal point; the spectrum ranges from LBW, MIG/MAG, FSW to adhesive bonding and riveting processes.
- You will provide important input for the definition of process parameters and the most important work instructions for the transfer to series production.
- Another objective is, among other things, the planning and coordination of development trials on a laboratory scale and in series production during the development phase.
- You will be significantly involved in the documentation of tests, internal standards and reporting.
- In addition, you will be involved in supporting lead engineering on customer related issues, as well as evaluating the feasibility of welding concepts.
- Contact with external suppliers for process optimizations and new solutions are for you daily routines.
- You will support in RFQ, concept and commissioning phases of production machines/cells and define fixtures as well as tools to contribute to the creation of Nemak process standards for welding processes.
Position Requirements
- Engineering degree, preferably production engineering or mechanical engineering
- Qualification as an international welding engineer is desirable
- Relevant work experience in the automotive or metalworking industry.In depth familiarity with mechanical joining processes
- Process understanding in the areas mechanical joining or straightening is an advantage
- Enthusiastic team player with systematic working style and very good communication skills - in German and English
- Enjoy working with international colleagues and going on occasional business trips (20-30%)
