Tooling Design Engineer

 

Objective

Management of RFQ Client information for fixture design, analysis of adaptations for reuse of current assets to new fixtures and support the operations in Nemak plants.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Management of RFQ Client information for fixture design.
  • Conceptual feasibility analysis and fixture design- Conceptual study of fixtures vs. 3D (Mathematical) model of the product.
  • Tooling and product management for design- Preparation of simulation data in Solid Works 3D / NX
  • Tooling replacement (Tool life, materials, alloys, treatments, etc.)
  • Validation data in the design concept of fixtures
  • Manufacturing data from 3D to 2D model
  • Analysis of adaptations for reuse of current assets to new fixtures

 

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Mechatronic engineering, IMA, or Similar).
  • 3 years of experience in automotive industry
  • Technical English
  • Solid Works NX (Simulator)- New product fixture design- Conceptual fixture vs. product design.
  • Manufacturing processes in fixture fabrication
  • Feasibility analysis and adaptation process between CNC's.
  • Design Software (Solid Works 3D / NX, AutoCAD)
  • Soft Skills
  • Feasibility analysis of in-house component manufacturing selection.
  • Structured and organized in administration activities.
  • Innovation and creativity in activities
  • Collaborative with the team
  • Results oriented
  • Development of others and self
