Objective

The Materials Manager in Sheboygan, Wisconsin is responsible for managing the day to day system activities in support of Nemak’s material management activities. This position is also responsible for the Warehouse and all Wisconsin materials activity to include maintaining accurate levels of inventory to support the customer demand and Nemak’s financial requirements while maintaining the highest level of customer rating.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Develops and coordinates inventory plans to ensure sufficient finished, WIP and components are sufficient to meet the customer demands and corporate inventory requirements and perform regular capacity review.
  • Coordinates all logistics, incoming and outgoing, monitors and approve freight cost as well as negotiate carrier contracts
  • Implements, utilizes, and maintains the systems for Wisconsin locations in support of monitoring the inventory system
  • Understands and maintains the customer EDI system, procedural changes to the customer’s system and data requirements and resolve any customer EDI issues in a timely manner. Assure that backup systems are in place
  • Leads monthly, yearly physical inventory and daily audits to maintain the accuracy of the inventory and track root cause variation

 

 

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or related field
  • Covisint, eSupplier connect, I-Exchange, and Oracle Business systems experience preferred
  • SAP experience preferred
  • 7-10 years of managerial experience preferred
