Superintendent - 2nd Shift

Objective

The Superintendent provides leadership support on 2nd shift. The Superintendent is responsible for overall production of plant production for their department. This position will drive the structure of the organization and manage priorities of the team, including planning, utilization of best practices and driving organizational initiatives. 

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Monitors, maintains, and drives improvements of key plan objectives and targets.
    • Uptime, Scrap, Efficiencies, MRO Spending, Safety record, Quality rating, Headcount and overtime
  • Communicates priorities and plans for daily line ups, change overs, special runs, machine maintenance, cell modifications, and other requirements to supervision. Set reasonable goals and manageable plans with resources available.
  • Mentors, coaches, and trains supervisors in developing mechanical, technical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills to improve and ensure departmental and plant successes. Supports all company training initiatives.
  • Works with management in setting overall plans and strategy for efficient work and material flow, line layouts, staffing needs, cell improvements, automation, and Cap Ex needs for department.
  • Responsible for ensuring safe work place, safety policy adherence, environmental compliance, housekeeping, and quality control. Supports and contributes to success of all prior stated in accordance with company policies, procedures, goals, and objective and targets.

 

Position Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree, Trade or Tech. School in Operations, Production or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 years’ experience in a leadership manufacturing
