Process Engineering Intern

Objective  
The Process Engineer maintains product quality, and manufacturing effectiveness through daily monitoring, troubleshooting and resolution of process difficulties. Provides technical support to Quality Assurance and Production and engages in process engineering continuous improvement activities.   
Main Responsibilities  

• Optimizes manufacturing processes to provide sustainable gains in cost effectiveness and product performance through continuous improvement projects, statistical analysis, designed experiments, and procedural changes.
• Responsible for implementing changes to the process, documenting and communicating the changes and applying changes to similar and future processes where applicable. 
• Develops of new processes and assists with equipment start-up for new programs (ensures new equipment installations meet targeted processes before initial production and products meet requirements, documents relevant process parameters and transfers know-how to production).
• Interacts with customers (external and internal) to resolve technical/quality issues and implements corrective actions.
• Requires working in a team environment with other departments such as Tooling, Maintenance, Quality, Production, Technical platforms (department engineers), Industrial Engineering, Purchasing & Sales
• Interacts with external suppliers depending upon project and program activities.
• Interacts with Process Engineers from other Nemak divisions to ensure best practices are shared and applied within the plant if applicable.
• Prepares and summarizes process data for presentation purposes. Leads team meetings and presents factual data as required."

 
Position Requirements  

• Pursuing an Associates or Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
