Senior Maintenance Engineer - Mechanical

Objective:
Lead the Shift or Breakdown maintenance team to ensure the maximum Uptime of equipment’s to Operations.
Monitor, analyze and should take permanent corrective actions to improve the machine uptime. Comply the departmental procedure and strive to meet the department KPI’s in equipment availability, MTTR, MTBF, Maintenance Cost, Zero accidents, Energy reductions etc.,
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure People and Machine safety in during operation and Maintenance
- Reduce MTTR and Increase MTBF of the production equipment's to maximize the productivity and co-ordinate and execute the PM, TBM, CBM and Predictive Maintenance activities
- Analyze the repeated and chronic failures and take the corrective and permanent actions
- Monitor and Control / Optimize the Maintenance Expenses effectively without affecting quality of services. Identify the critical spares and maintain
- Train the maintenance team to enrich the technical knowledge to resolve the critical and repeated breakdown
- Initiate and drive the continuous improvement activities
- Plan for the shutdown maintenance activities by coordinating from materials planning to completion of the activity successfully
- Protect the environment and ensure the people safety during the Maintenance activities
- Create and maintain records and documents generated by upgrades and production equipment.
- Maintain records of all the spares drawing and maintain the records internally
- Implementing and executing the horizontal deployment of Lessons learnt towards the reduction of downtime, maintenance cost reduction, reduction in energy, improve environment and safety etc.,
- Adhere the 5 “S” principles in the maintenance and shop floor areas.
- Sound knowledge in Hydraulics preferably in servo hydraulics
- Good knowledge in pneumatics for trouble shooting
- Good knowledge in LPG fired furnaces and gas train controls
- Exposure to Low-cost automation, mechanical drives, conveyors etc.,
- Exposure to Management systems like IATF, EMS, OHSAS and EnMS
Position Requirements:
- Diploma or bachelor’s in mechanical engineering with minimum 10-15 years of foundry industry experience is preferred
- Aluminium Die Casting Industry with exposure in higher tonnage of HPDC machine
- Exposure to Core Shooting machines is preferred
