Senior Quality Engineer

Objective:

 

  • Responsible for ensuring that manufactured products meet high-quality standards
  •  should be familiar with casting inspection techniques and be able to act as an auditor for all our internal systems identifying issues and closing with evidence-based thinking.
  • To ensure that all external and internal requirements are met before our product reaches our customers.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for handling HPDC & GSPM product quality from the In-process stage to final quality
  • To ensure compliance of the Melting, Core making, HPDC, GSPM, Heat treatment, Decoring, Trimming & Shot basting processes in line with the Control plan, Standards and W-CMS
  • To approve first setting, last off castings & Patrol Inspection for further production
  • Work With CFT for New product development Activities Die proving /CMM programming / Fixture gauges planning and development
  • To establish & update quality standards in-line with customer expectations.
  • To initiate a continual improvement program to reduce in-house rejection to meet/sustain budget norms.
  • To plan and execute the Manufacturing Process Audit, Product Audit and Dock audit – Plan Vs Actual.
  • Responsible for Weekly operations review (WOR), Monthly Quality performance report & Operations Business review (OBRM)
  • To establish and update QMS documentation of internal quality requirements.
  • To reduce quality issues at the customer end & maintain zero complaints as per target.
  • To ensure on-time submission of G3D, G8D report and monitor effectiveness of action plan to eliminate repetitive issues.
  • To provide feedback to employees, by using company tools, define and agree targets and develop employees
  • To commit to agreed budgets and control costs on all levels.

 

Position Requirements:

 

  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Metallurgy 
  • Minimum 8-12 years of experience in Aluminium Die Casting Industries.
  • Knowledge in quality core tools such as APQP, Control Plan, SPC, Process FMEA, MSA & PPAP etc.
  • Good knowledge of IATF16949 & ISO 14001, ISO45001 & VDA 6.3
