Objective
Lead the supplier development projects and continuous improvement to meet the industry, customer and Nemak requirement. Identify shortfalls or opportunities for supplier improvement, as well as provide better communication between Nemak plant and suppliers. The job holder shall replace Jim Wu will decide to leave company.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Function as liaison between Nemak project team/operation team and suppliers to resolve quality issues and provide support as appropriate.
  • Conduct Supplier Audits for the new/potential suppliers or existing supplier if necessary
    Deal with the customer complain and warranty issues in time, focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Manage advanced product quality planning (APQP) activities with suppliers and review the PPAPs from suppliers based on Nemak quality system requirements Audit: implement internal audit and follow up non-conformance.
  • Train the supplier on the structure problem solving tools and methodology/the quality and manufacturing philosophies utilized.
  • Follow the supplier performance of operation (OEE, FTT... etc.) and review with daily/weekly/monthly basis if necessary.
  • Follow/Resolve/Close on time for the open issues in the supplier side or Nemak and final customer complained issues.
  • Support plant Quality teams in release and monitor of the CCN (Customer Concern Notice)
  • Manage critical supplier issues vising escalation as appropriate.
  • Documented lessons learned from the different issues.
  • Conduct annual audit/PCPA audit and run-at-rates as required for the supplier plant/parts/process.
  • Support the supplier change management process.
  • Monitor the supplier performance and work together with supplier to keep on continuous improvement.

 

Position Requirements

  • Strong supplier project management and problem solving capability.
  • Be familiar with quality tools such as 8D, 5why, SPC, MSA etc.
  • Have comprehensive understanding about IATF16949, VDA6.3 qualification is preferred.
  • Good knowledge and experience of AIAG 5 manuals, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA and SPC.
  • Problem solving, failure mode avoidance and continuous improvement.
  • Very good communication skills.
  • Be proactive, the positive energy and good collaboration.
