Indirect Material Purchasing Manager EUR (M/F/D)
Objective
Develop and drive strategy in the region in alignment with global SCM strategy
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and establish Business Unit strategies in accordance to SCM strategies:
- Provide an overview of the assigned plants, develop strategy in the Business Unit for assigned categories (MRO and Contracted Services)
- Develop proper negotiation plan on the key categories and support from the strategic side the indirect area (managed in a SSC)
- Achieve cost objectives for the Business Unit Purchasing
- Strategy deployment for Indirect Material
- Identify and realize potentials for cost savings regarding suppliers and plants
- Bundling of Business Unit and/or European volume
- Support plant Purchasing with strategies / negotiations on associated category or projects
- Implement frame contracts for EUR plants
- Relationship Management to key suppliers
- Personnel management and talent development
- Ensuring process compliance
Position Requirements
- University Degree in Economics, Engineering or similar
- Ideally specialized knowledge in Indirect Purchasing category, but also interdisciplinary experience
- Min. 3 years experience as a Purchasing category leader
- Language: English (high level), other European language (esp. Spanish/German) is a plus
- Well versed with using IT applications (esp. MS Office and SAP)

- Leadership skills
- Intercultural skills
- Strong communicational and negotiation skills
- Process-oriented thinking and ability to think "one step ahead"
- Ability to quickly perceive complex matters and concentrate on essentials
