Objective

As the Process Expert specializing in metal forming, you will serve as a key technical liaison between our suppliers and customers. Your profound knowledge of metal forming processes, particularly in stamping and deep drawing, will drive the optimization of part production, ensuring the delivery of superior components.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with suppliers, ensuring efficient coordination of stamping and subassembly processes
  • Create comprehensive RFQ-documentation based on customer documentation, standards and drawings and lay the foundation for successful project execution
  • Lead technical reviews and discussions with suppliers, providing guidance and insights that foster productive partnerships and drive continuous improvement
  • Develop and cultivate a robust supplier base in close collaboration with purchasing organization
  • Support Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) team with your technical expertise during troubleshooting activities
  • Conduct thorough technical evaluation of suppliers, ensuring their technical capabilities align with our standards and requirements
  • Validate feasibility concepts proposed by suppliers, applying your technical acumen to guide decision-making
  • Lead and coordinate stamping simulation efforts, interpreting results, and implementing insights to optimize processes
  • Collaborate with project engineering team on customer-related topics
  • Drive the development and refinement of Nemak standards related to stampings and subassemblies

 

Position Requirements

  • A degree in Engineering (e.g. Mechanical, Production Engineering, or a related field)
  • Prior experience in the automotive industry or metal processing industry is essential
  • Proven hands-on experience in metal forming processes is a fundamental requirement. Experience in quality control or simulation within this context would be a notable advantage
  • Systematic working approach and ability to meticulously plan, execute, and evaluate processes
  • Team player with collaborative mindset who actively engages with cross-functional teams and external partners
  • Proficiency in German and English: clear and effective communication in both languages
  • A confident and professional business appearance that inspires trust and credibility
  • Willingness to travel, with availability for trips ranging from 30-50%
