Objective

Responsible for the planning and monitoring of production inventory, coordination of production schedules and forecasting of the manufacturing facility. This includes, but is not limited to, updating customer requirements, production scheduling, coordinating the build of service requirements, establishing and maintaining inventory buffers. Coordinate customer logistics of the manufacturing facility. This includes, but is not limited to, scheduling of shipments, and serving as a primary plant contact for all customer logistic needs and issues.  Coordinate with Shipping associates and MP&L Sr. Specialist to promote and support the Safety, Quality, Production flow, and 5S standards.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Schedule production across manufacturing systems based on forecasted demand and product management.  Work with leadership to forecast customer demands, plant operational patterns, inventory change, and additional key process indicators compared to budget.
  • Organize weekly production scheduling reviews involving operations and all support departments. 
  • Produce product on time and maintain appropriate product inventory levels to ensure customer service excellence.
  • Support monthly/yearly physical inventory counts, and daily audits to maintain accuracy of inventory.
  • Coordinate the shipment of product on time and maintain appropriate product inventory levels to ensure customer service excellence. Assist in daily inventory monitoring of finished product. 
  • Proficient knowledge of SAP shipping transactions, Advanced Ship Notifications, and the SAP Transportation Module.  Lead the creation of customer, sub-contractor, vendor, and misc. deliveries, BOL/Shippers, Custom Invoices and ASN creation.
  • Maintain, and update customer delivery and communication systems by monitoring and responding to items daily (i.e., Shipment schedules, dunnage monitoring, service requirements, customer system bulletins, delivery ratings/disputes, critical and shortage tickets).
  • Customer Returns Processing
  • Customer Shipments  (support with daily customer requirements)
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts. Ensure facilities meet all internal and external policies and regulations.

 

Position Requirements

  • Associate Degree Required; Bachelor Degree preferred
  • 3+ Years Experience in Production Scheduling
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • SAP experience required
  • Ability to work independently and excellent attention to detail
