Objective

 

We are seeking a Post Machining Responsible with extensive experience in leak testing systems, particularly with ATEQ equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of our post-machining department's leak testing processes. This includes overseeing the setup, calibration, and troubleshooting of ATEQ equipment, ensuring accurate and reliable leak testing results. The Post Machining Responsible will collaborate closely with production teams to implement efficient testing protocols and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Technical Expert for the equipment advising on predictive, preventative, and reactive maintenance activities.

 

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Manage and conduct leak testing processes using ATEQ equipment.
  • Ensure proper setup, calibration, and maintenance of testing equipment.
  • Analyze testing data and provide technical insights to optimize testing procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve testing efficiency.
  • Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on leak testing methods and equipment operation.
  • Develop specifications and standard operations and train operators on leak test systems.
  • Work with equipment suppliers in the design, assembly and buy-off of new test equipment.
  • Support PFMEA test equipment.
  • Coordinate the spare parts strategy for test equipment.

 

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years’ experience with processing and PLC control systems in an automated process environment, preferably in an industrial automotive setting and experience in leak testing systems, preferably with ATEQ equipment.
  • Proficiency in understanding both mechanical and electronic components of testing equipment.
  • Pressure Testing and Leak Testing Requirements for Process Piping knowledge
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing and managing leak testing systems.
  • Familiarity with Engineering and Quality practices and procedures including PPAP, blueprint reading, GD&T, use of measuring instruments, checking aids/fixtures, mechanical testing, etc.
  • Experience/knowledge in robotic programming for leak testing processes (Fanuc programming an asset)
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to prepare, read, write, and interpret written reports, procedures, instructions, and guidelines.
  • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot equipment, processes.
  • Hands on engineering mindset .
