MP&L Specialist
Objective
Ensure the definition, implementation, optimization, and standardization of manufacturing processes for new automotive programs, guaranteeing a safe, efficient, and on-time launch. Support continuous improvement, line balancing, layout design, standardized work creation, and problem-solving activities both in the plant and with customers.
Main Responsibilities
- Coordinate the startup of new automotive projects (OEM Customers).
- Ensure launch timing adherence, including Run at Rate and Safe Launch events.
- Lead machine and line release for new products.
- Provide technical support during contentions with OEMs.
- Manage refurbishment and transformation of equipment for incoming programs.
- Develop, document, and improve manufacturing processes using PFMEA (AIAG–VDA), flowcharts, and process sheets.
- Perform troubleshooting using Lean problem-solving tools.
- Optimize workloads through line balancing.
- Define and maintain standard work documentation.
- Pressing Bushings, Screwing, Adhesives & Welding.
- Automatic Cells (Safety Systems, EOAT, Material Handling)
- Design production line, material flow, shipping, and training area layouts using AutoCAD.
- Reorganize plant layouts to improve flow and reduce waste.
- Coordinate movement and transfer of machinery.
- Manage engineering and manufacturing projects including construction of booths, enclosures, refurbishment of machinery, and equipment transfers.
- Track deliverables, risks, schedules, and documentation.
- Implement actions to reduce scrap and cycle time and eliminate variability.
- Define safe practices and ensure process stability.
- Analyze operator tasks to reduce waste.
