Engineering Intern MEX
Objective
To contribute to cost estimation, asset optimization, and sustainability efforts by supporting data analysis, documentation, and collaboration with engineering and innovation teams, aiming to enhance manufacturing efficiency and drive technological advancement.
Main Responsibilities
- Support in Estimation Processes: Assist in gathering and organizing data for P-1 phase cost estimations for the MX Business Units.
- Help integrate and compile information using OCT formats and OCT Review & Approval Meeting Templates.
- Work closely with the AME Engineering Team for each plant to understand the implications of new quotes for new programs and propose solutions to optimize required investments in manufacturing plans.
- Assist in creating a live database of all existing assets globally within Nemak, ensuring management is aware of available assets that can be repurposed where possible.
- Support data collection and reporting on manufacturing sustainability efforts.
- Collaborate with the sustainability team to ensure sustainability budgets are included in the OCT files.
- Manufacturing Innovation Support: Support research on new manufacturing technologies and resources to assess their feasibility for improving current manufacturing processes.
- Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and documentation for strategic discussions on new technologies or innovation initiatives.
- Help coordinate meetings and maintain documentation related to supplier engagement and new technology scouting based on predefined needs.
Position Requirements
- Education required: Active college student with at least one year away from graduation.
- Education required: College Student in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Industrial or any engineering related.
- Skills: Analytical thinking, Collaboration & teamwork, attention to detail, initiative & proactiveness, communication skills, adaptability.
- English advanced
