Objective

The Environmental Compliance & Documentation Analyst supports the Leader function by performing legal compliance audits, validating environmental documentation, ensuring proper digitalization of all required records, and conducting waste-management audits across Mexico plants.

This role ensures the integrity, accuracy, and readiness of environmental legal documentation, strengthens compliance assurance, and supports alignment with both regulatory requirements and internal standards.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform legal compliance audits at the plants, validating adherence to SEMARNAT, PROFEPA, CONAGUA, CRE, and state/municipal requirements.
  • Review permits, licenses, NOM compliance, monitoring obligations, reporting requirements, and legal documentation records.
  • Issue audit findings and coordinate with plant HSE teams to support closure. Review environmental documentation for each environmental register, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and validity (permits, manifests, logs, monitoring results, reports).
  • Maintain digital repositories for environmental and wastemanagement documentation.
  • Conduct onsite audits and checks of waste segregation, storage, labeling, manifests, transport controls, and disposal practices.
  • Validate compliance with hazardous, nonhazardous, special handling, and urban solid waste regulations.
  • Provide analytical, administrative, and operational support for ISO 14001, ISO 50001, and ASI system audits.
  • Interact with plant HSE teams to clarify findings, gather documentation, and verify compliance status.
  • Coordinate with external laboratories, waste contractors, and digitalization vendors as needed.
  • Support corporate and regional requests related to environmental data and compliance documentation.

 

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related fields.
  • 3 years in similar roles working with compliance with environmental legislation and monitoring methods related to air, water, waste, and soil contamination.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 & 50001 – nice to have.
  • Strong communication and a customer-focused mindset. Accountable and analytical. Strong team player with cross-functional collaboration skills. Proactive mindset with continuous improvement oriented.
