HSE Engineer

 

Objective

This position will support: The HSE team's data collection, classification, analysis, and reporting function oversees creating reliable and easily accessible sources of information that drive decision-making and process prioritization at the plant leadership team and business unit level.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Follow up on industrial safety projects that eliminate/reduce risks and dangers within the Plant.
  • Follow-up of initiatives and implementations carried out by plants and/or management, design of new HSE processes.
  • Ensure compliance and adherence of their area to the standards of the environmental management system. Support HSE initiatives to meet area or plant objectives.
  • Implementation and effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions related to HSE situations at both desk and floor level.
  • Integration and continuous updating of proactive HSE performance indicators and reports regarding HSE situation closure rate, employee engagement, leadership team involvement, training program progress, legal compliance levels, environmental footprint, and other proactive indicators.
  • Integration and continuous updating of reactive HSE performance indicators and reports, including safety incidents, environmental incidents, and material loss events, as well as alignment with other plants and regions around the world.
  • Comply with the requirements of the environmental management system.
  • Manage the practical knowledge of the control of documents and records as established by the international standards of management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, etc.)
  • Continuous collection, classification, and analysis of information about our different plants and manufacturing areas, as well as sharing and comparison with other regions of the world.
  • Classification and analysis of information around our different manufacturing plants, as well as exchange and comparison with other regions of the world.

 

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineer, mechanical engineer, chemical engineer, administration, or related careers.
  • Minimum 3 years in: Industrial Safety, Health and Environmental. As well as working with Normativity.
  • Technical abilities: Normativity (STPS, NFPA, OHSAS, ISO 14001, SSA, etc), Safety and Health Standars, Hazard Recognition & Control, Substances, Energy & Equipment, Emergency Response.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Decision Making, Negotiating, Change Management, Conflict Management.
  • Skills: Customer Oriented, Results Oriented, Collaboration, Innovation and Creativity, Change Management.
  • Leadership Competencies: Assertiveness, Influence and Persuasion, People Development, Strategic Vision, Global Perspective.
  • Certifications: ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001.
  • Intermediate level of English.
