HSE Sr Specialist
Objective
The HSE Sustainability Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring sustainable practices and solutions, optimizing energy usage and executing energy efficiency initiatives within company operations to ensure compliance with regulations.
This role involves collaborating with operations and maintenance teams to ensure that environmental standards, energy efficiency, and sustainability goals are met. Analyzing energy consumption patterns, identifying areas for improvement, and developing solutions to reduce costs. Conducting environmental assessments and developing pollution control to minimize impact to the environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sustainability strategies and initiatives.
- Conduct environmental impact and energy assessments and audits to evaluate equipment and processes.
- Monitor and analyze energy consumption data to identify inefficiencies and optimize energy performance.
- Monitor and analyze environmental data, ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Develop and implement energy management strategies and improvement projects.
- Research and implement sustainable technologies and practices.
- Design systems and processes for pollution control and waste management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability into project designs and company policies.
- Prepare sustainability reports and communicate progress to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and energy regulations and standards.
- Provide technical support and guidance on sustainability-related issues.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings through resource efficiency and waste reduction.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, Sustainability, Energy Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in sustainability, environmental engineering, energy management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with energy management systems and software.
- Excellent communication and project management abilities.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.
- Preferred Skills: Certification in sustainability (e.g., LEED, ASI, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ESG) is a plus.
- Experience with lifecycle assessment, carbon footprint analysis, renewable energy systems, energy efficiency technologies, environmental impact assessment and pollution control systems.
- Knowledge of sustainability and renewable energy practices.
