Heat Treatment Metallurgy Engineer

 

Objective

Responsible for designing, developing, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and cost. This role works closely with operations, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure stable and capable processes that meet production and customer requirements.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with process standards.
  • Identify and resolve technical deviations.
  • Perform rootcause analysis to address process issues.
  • Propose and implement process improvements.
  • Provide technical support to production operations.
  • Document processes, updates and technical changes.
  • Participate in internal audits and process reviews.
  • Manage engineering changes and ensure proper implementation.
  • Support specific activities related to product launches.

 

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering – required.
  • Master’s degree or technical courses in manufacturing, quality or continuous improvement – preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement certification (Green Belt, Black Belt or equivalent) – preferred.
  • Knowledge of Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC) – preferred.
  • Familiarity with quality management standards (IATF 16949) – preferred.
  • 2–4 years of experience in automotive manufacturing – required.
  • 2 years of experience in aluminum casting, machining or assembly processes – required.
  • 2 years of experience in problemsolving and continuous improvement – required.
  • Experience interacting with crossfunctional technical teams – preferred.
  • Experience contributing to audits and technical documentation – preferred.
  • Ability to execute corrective and preventive actions – preferred.
  • English advanced
