Maintenance Automation Engineer
Objective
Responsible for supporting the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of control and automation systems. Ensure the efficient and safe operation of production equipment. Support the execution of operational and technical tasks (automation, electronics, robotics, instrumentation) to guarantee the availability of systems.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide electronic support to ensure the availability of operational equipment and reduce the risk of unplanned downtime.
- Collaborate in automation activities, working with both internal personnel and subcontractors.
- Participate in preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Define and implement standards for electrical, electronic, instrumentation, and automation components in the process, such as sensors, variable frequency drives (VFDs), human-machine interfaces (HMI), PLCs, I/Os, safety devices, servomotors, servovalves, instruments, and transducers, etc.
- Define standards for structured programming of PLCs, HMIs, OPCs, robots, and safety logic, and coordinate with central areas.
- Ensure the implementation of various equipment used in the processes (HMI, PLC, I/O, safety systems, servomotors).
- Implement and maintain links between OT and IT networks.
- Develop projects focused on Industry 4.0.
- Implement monitoring systems for critical assets in production, quality, and maintenance areas.
- Validate control and automation solutions from suppliers.
- Develop and implement projects aimed at reducing the number of electrical/electronic equipment.
- Train technicians and engineers according to automation infrastructure and control technology requirements.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Control Engineering, Industrial Electronics Engineering, or Automation Engineering.
- Skills: Organization and attention to detail, Active listening, Communication, Proactive, Responsible.
- Knowledge in: PLC programming, HMI systems, automation systems, SCADA systems, industrial networks, industrial communication protocols, OT networks, electronics, Industry 4.0.
