Maintenance Mechanical Engineer

 

Objective

Ensure the reliability and efficiency of mechanical equipment through continuous improvement, technical analysis, component redesign, and support in maintenance activities, contributing to failure reduction and resource optimization.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop basic and detailed engineering to improve equipment conditions and performance.
  • Perform redesigns and calculations for spare parts recovery at TACEB.
  • Engineer spare parts and materials to eliminate chronic failures in components and equipment.
  • Generate and participate in activities for ACRs on equipment with high failure incidence.
  • Provide technical support and generate requests for new items in the warehouse.
  • Support in solving issues related to hydraulic, sand, and compressed air leaks.
  • Conduct equipment performance audits based on OEMS standards.
  • Assist in the development and updating of maintenance methods for maintenance personnel.
  • Record, control, and follow up on equipment with limited capacity (CRPL).
  • Propose solutions to design issues in components and equipment that impact MTBF/MTTR.
  • Develop and update routines for mechanical personnel on shifts.
  • Support preventive and predictive maintenance plans to increase equipment reliability.
  • Select and specify equipment and materials to solve capacity issues and extend service life.
  • Research and obtain support from technology firms to adapt equipment to process needs.

 

Position Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Career: Mechanical, IME IMA IM (or related field).
  • Experience in automotive maintenance is a plus
  • At least 7 years of experience in Operations / Maintenance; Maintenance Planning & Control
  • At least 5 years of experience in Automotive Industry, Aluminum Handling and Manufacturing Industry
  • Skills: Leadership, Strong analytical and Problem-solving skills, Communication, Teamwork.
  • Proficient English
