Operations Head 1&2
Objective
This position is responsible for leading and optimizing sand core manufacturing operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective production of cores that meet automotive quality standards while supporting on-time delivery to molding and casting operations.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead and ensure compliance with production schedules, capacity balancing, and productivity targets.
- Oversee Cold Box and Hot Box manufacturing processes, ensuring operational excellence.
- Drive quality performance through compliance with IATF 16949 standards and defect reduction initiatives.
- Promote a zero-accident culture and ensure safe handling of chemicals and environmental compliance.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives through Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and automation projects.
- Develop, coach, and lead production teams to achieve business objectives and strengthen talent capabilities.
Position Requirements
- Education: Industrial, Mechanical, Metallurgical, Materials Engineering, or related field.
- Experience: 5-8 years in automotive manufacturing and 3-5 years leading sand core production operations.
- Technical Skills: Cold Box & Hot Box processes, IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, SPC, MSA, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, OEE, SMED, SAP, Advanced Excel, and Power BI.
- Leadership Skills: Team leadership, talent development, analytical thinking, problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Languages: Proficient English required
- Preferred: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) and experience leading teams of 50-200 employees.
