Operations Head.

 

Objective

 

The efficient, safe, and timely handling of materials—including metal, molds, cast parts, and scrap is critical to maintaining production flow, ensuring product integrity, and reducing operational losses. Currently, the operation relies on partial coordination between multiple areas (warehouse, production, maintenance, quality), which leads to delays, accidents, and bottlenecks.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and optimize all resources related to internal material handling.
  • Oversee routing, equipment usage (forklifts, cranes, tuggers), operators, and peripheral systems.
  • Ensure alignment across multiple departments (Warehouse, Production, Maintenance, Quality).
  • Focus on industrial safety, logistics efficiency, and preventive maintenance.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing tools and support continuous improvement initiatives.
     

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or systems engineering.
  • Experience 2 years – in automotive or metalworking industrial environments. Strong foundation in internal logistics and Lean Manufacturing methodologies. Working knowledge of spaghetti diagrams, OPF, FIFO, TPS, and the 8 types of waste
  • Knowledge of mobile equipment – desirable.
  • Kaizen and continuous improvement mindset
  • Maintenance planning experience.
  • Workforce/labor management skills
