Operations Supervisor Machining

 

Objective

 

Manage the available resources within the area and provide support to the Team Leader and Supervisor to achieve operational objectives, as well as develop and execute continuous improvement projects.

 

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Manage and support the understanding and identification of unsafe acts and conditions.
  • Monitor scrap levels to ensure they remain within established targets, identify and understand their root causes, and develop improvement projects and action plans to achieve objectives.
  • Conduct regular walkthroughs of production areas, provide support to the team, and lead improvement projects.
  • Ensure that area resources are managed in alignment with manufacturing cost objectives.
  • Promote a work environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and employee development.
  • Manage and support the understanding of environmental, health, and safety requirements.    

                                              

Position Requirements

 

  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Knowledge and application of Core Tools
  • 8D methodology, 5 Whys, and Ishikawa diagrams.
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949 and specific customer requirements
  • English basic level.
  • Proficiency in managing metrics, leading people.
  • Knowledge in Machining process.
