PC&L Sr Specialist HPDC
Objective
Support the transition from a reactive operational model to a strategic, process-driven approach focused on continuous improvement, system optimization, and structured change management. The role is designed to enhance operational efficiency through workload distribution, automation, and improved cross-functional communication. It also aims to strengthen customer experience and employee well-being by reducing service inconsistencies, mitigating risks, and promoting a more sustainable and effective work environment.
Main Responsibilities
- Customer Service & Planning:
Manage both contractual and system-related customer requirements (e.g., GM/Ford).
Participate in daily customer escalation calls and internal operations meetings.
Develop and maintain the shipment plan and master production schedule for HPDC lines.
- Inventory and Operational Control:
Ensure physical inventory accuracy against system records.
Coordinate interplant transfers and optimize material flow. - KPI Monitoring:
Track installed capacity versus demand.
Oversee operational patterns, labor planning, and shift requirements.
Monitor scrap levels and implement containment actions as needed. - Communication & Escalation:
Act as a key point of contact for both customer and internal teams.
Proactively escalate production or shipping risks impacting customer fulfillment.
Position Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Logistics, or related fields.
- Experience: 4-5 years in similar roles within the automotive industry, preferably in high-pressure operational settings.
- Strategic planning and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and a customer-focused mindset.
- Proficiency in SAP, advanced Excel, and planning systems.
- Accountable and analytical.
- Strong team player with cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proactive mindset with continuous improvement orientation.
