Packaging Sr. Engineer
Objective
Create and develop processes related to the packaging of in-process products, finished products, raw materials, and components for Nemak.
Main Responsibilities
- Address Packaging Needs for New and Current Programs: This involves managing packaging requirements that arise due to new designs in existing programs, new programs, or improvements to current packaging or processes. The role requires using specialized design and modeling tools to achieve the best possible packaging outcomes.
- Design Packaging for Product Protection and Efficiency: Each package should be developed to protect the product, ensure standardization, maximize density, and streamline logistical operations. Optimized storage should also be a focus to help reduce costs, and packaging designs should aim to minimize environmental impact.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IMA, IME, IMT, IIS, or a related field.
- Required experience: Packaging Design and Improvements, Shipping and Logistics, Material Management, Customer, and Operations/Launch.
- Proficiency in Concept Design, Material Management, Automotive Standards, Logistics, and Testing & Validation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
