Objective

Responsible for managing all purchasing activities in the plant. Manage sourcing of materials, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely and cost-effective procurement for production. Support the plant's operational goals and maintain inventory levels, drive cost savings, and improve supplier performance improvements.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure supply of materials and services required for plant operations.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of purchase agreements and contracts to achieve the best possible terms for the plant.
  • Oversee requisitions and purchase order issuance, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure purchased materials meet the required quality standards and specifications.
  • Monitor and evaluate suppliers, addressing issues regarding delivery, quality, or service, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Analyze purchasing data and trends to make informed decisions.
  • Align purchasing activities with plant goals and objectives.

 

Position Requirements.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7 years of experience or more in Purchasing.
  • 5 years of experience or more in supplier relations.
  • Proficient in English.
