Plant Purchasing Sr Buyer
Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico
Objective
This position will support in sourcing, analyze quotes/proposal, negotiate price & terms, make supplier selection proposal which fits for the purpose (right quality & right lead time).
Main Responsibilities
- Sourcing, analyze quotes/proposal, negotiate price & terms, make supplier selection proposal which fits for the purpose (right quality & right lead time).
- Follow up payment issues and delivery when needed.
- Work with cross functional/category team for cost reduction project.
- Ensuring approval of Purchase Orders in line with approval process in PUR policy.
- Work in alignment with Plant areas to solve supplier shortage/delivery issues.
- Lead negotiations of PUR according authority level decision.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks that will affect Plant production.
- Propose and implements cost reduction projects.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor´s degree in Business, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or related areas.
- 5 years of purchasing experience working in an automotive production purchasing environment (i.e., technical/commodity purchasing, purchasing project management, purchasing management, etc.)
- Proficient Microsoft Office user (i.e., Excel, Power Point).
- Professional interpersonal verbal and written communication required.
- SAP knowledge and experience.
- More than 2 years in manufacturing processes.
