Plant Purchasing Sr Buyer

Objective

This position will support in sourcing, analyze quotes/proposal, negotiate price & terms, make supplier selection proposal which fits for the purpose (right quality & right lead time).

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Sourcing, analyze quotes/proposal, negotiate price & terms, make supplier selection proposal which fits for the purpose (right quality & right lead time).
  • Follow up payment issues and delivery when needed.
  • Work with cross functional/category team for cost reduction project.
  • Ensuring approval of Purchase Orders in line with approval process in PUR policy.
  • Work in alignment with Plant areas to solve supplier shortage/delivery issues.
  • Lead negotiations of PUR according authority level decision.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks that will affect Plant production.
  • Propose and implements cost reduction projects.

 

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor´s degree in Business, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or related areas.
  • 5 years of purchasing experience working in an automotive production purchasing environment (i.e., technical/commodity purchasing, purchasing project management, purchasing management, etc.)
  • Proficient Microsoft Office user (i.e., Excel, Power Point).
  • Professional interpersonal verbal and written communication required.
  • SAP knowledge and experience.
  • More than 2 years in manufacturing processes.
