Process Engineer
Objective
Ensure stable, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing processes by resolving technical and quality issues, implementing corrective actions, and driving continuous improvement in close collaboration with Production, Quality, and Maintenance.
Main Responsibilities
- Analyze production losses and bottlenecks to improve OEE, cycle times, capacity, and line efficiency.
- Reduce scrap, rework, and process variation through root cause analysis, SPC, PFMEA, control plans, and corrective actions.
- Lead cost-saving initiatives focused on materials, labor, energy, consumables, and waste reduction.
- Implement Lean and Six Sigma projects, including Kaizen events, process audits, and structured problem-solving activities.
- Support new product launches through process design, trials, PPAP, equipment readiness, and ramp-up stabilization.
- Ensure manufacturing processes meet safety, environmental, ergonomic, and quality standards.
- Develop standard work, work instructions, visual aids, and training materials for operators and technicians.
- Use process data and digital monitoring tools to identify improvement opportunities and validate results.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in automotive manufacturing.
- 2+ years of experience in aluminum casting, machining, and/or assembly processes.
- 2+ years of experience with APQP and quality assurance processes.
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, and SPC), and quality management standards such as IATF 16949.
- Proficient in English.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and corrective-action skills.
- Experience in a metallurgical laboratory is preferred.
