Quality Engineer

 

Objective

To ensure product quality and customer satisfaction by effectively managing quality documentation, including control plans and PPAP submissions, throughout the product lifecycle. Support the APQP process and promptly address customer claims to maintain strong client relationships and continuous improvement.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Monitor and continuously enhance the Nemak Quality System (NQS).
  • Collaborate with and support quality engineers across multiple plants.
  • Manage customer portals for regional performance monitoring, defining strategies to meet customer requirements and achieving top scorecard ratings.
  • Lead and participate in structured problem-solving initiatives, using statistical and other advanced tools to deliver effective solutions.
  • Contribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of quality systems.
  • Develop and maintain process control plans, while reviewing and optimizing data collection methods.
  • Address quality-related issues and, when needed, represent Nemak during customer visits.
  • Drive the development and presentation of the Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) metric to stakeholders.
  • Quality management, control plans and customer validations/PPA

 

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering.
  • Strong knowledge in QMS Knowledge, Core Tools, Quality 4.0. Problem Solving.
  • Technical Competences: Internal Auditor
  • IATF 16949 knowledge is desired
  • SPC or Six sigma certification is desired 
  • Soft Competences: Conflict Management Communication, Negotiation, Decision making, Strategic Agility
  • Language: English (full bilingual proficiency)
