Quality Systems Engineer

 

Objective

Responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the organization's Quality Management System (QMS). Ensure compliance with regulations applicable to the business unit (IATF 16949, ASI Performance, and ASI Chain of Custody), customer requirements, and internal and external quality objectives. Actively participate in or lead multidisciplinary teams in problem-solving projects, as well as respond to customer requests and complaints.

Main Responsibilities.

  • Plan, coordinate, and ensure the proper execution of the annual program of external audits of the QMS and guarantee the closure of each of the identified opportunities.
  • Design, plan, and manage the organization's internal audit program focused on compliance with the Quality System.
  • Address and follow up on the closure of internal audit findings, ensuring the timely execution of root cause analysis and follow-up on its implementation.
  • Manage and keep the QMS documents up to date (methods, procedures, operating instructions, checklists, and visual aids). Ensure that the documentation is accessible, applicable, and up to date (latest version).
  • Communicate changes to Specific Customer Requirements once they have been modified to adapt the QMS and applicable documentation.
  • Continuously maintain the accreditation of internal auditors, ensuring their training when any of the requirements are updated.
  • Schedule management reviews in conjunction with Plant Management when necessary to evaluate the performance of the QMS.
  • Maintain and archive documentation related to management reviews, agreements, attendees, and relevant assignments for the adaptation of the QMS as applicable.
  • Monitor the continuous updating of QMS deliverables through process owners and inform Quality Management when processes are outside of planned objectives.
  • Schedule the SQM onboarding process for new administrative staff and internal transfers to provide basic knowledge of their job, in accordance with SQM compliance.
  • Follow up on open issues until they are resolved. Support the different departments in resolving these issues.

 

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industria Engineering, Mechanical, or related fields.
  • 1-2 years in positions as Quality Engineer(mandatory), Process Engineering, Quality Assurance.
  • Certifications: Internal Auditor in IATF 16949 (Required); Lead Auditor in IATF 16949 (Desirable); Core Tool and Specific Customer Requirements (Required)
  • Language: intermediate English, mandatory
