MES Specialist

 

Objective

Guarantee the reliability of the information generated in the plant's production processes, provide reporting tools for the consultation of information stored in the MES database and monitor the functionality of the MES database and applications of its business unit, alerting the IT support team when there are functional problems.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Periodically monitor the reliability of the records in the database VS. what is generated in Production.
  • Manage the installation and useful life of MES NMI equipment and manage their support.
  • Manage configuration master data in MES MDE for all configurable modules.
  • Generate reports via SSRS or Data cube query to the MES database, using the Organization's standard tools.              
  • Train users in the use of MES equipment, applications and tools, both operation and consultation.         
  • Manage the follow-up to MES information reliability correction activities, giving timely reminders to support areas such as IT and Automation.
  • Request peripheral equipment from MES NMI capture stations, such as scanners, keyboards, etc.
  • Monitor the status of the support services necessary for the functionality of the platform, which include internet, energy and servers, alerting the corresponding support areas when any are missing.
  • Implement the configuration in the system of the new deployed MES modules applicable to your site and/or business unit.
  • Validate the functionality of the transfers between MES and SAP, guaranteeing communication between both systems         

     

     

 

Position Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; active listening; effective communication; customer orientation; interpersonal skills.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Technical Support, Lean Manufacturing, DBA SQL / BI SQL, or programming.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in SQL, SAP and Excel; knowledge of Lean Manufacturing is desirable.
  • Language: Proficient in English.
