PC&L Sr Specialist

 

Objective

Due to inventory shortages, we are closely monitoring every part in the process, even across different plants in Monterrey, while customer demands have reached their peak. To ensure consistent production and shipment tracking, we have scheduled up to two daily calls per program, seven days a week.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Supply Chain Management: Oversee and manage material flow and logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials to production and customers.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor and optimize inventory levels to prevent shortages or excess, ensuring cost-effective stock management.
  • Production Planning: Collaborate with production teams to align material requirements with production schedules, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Supplier Coordination: Work closely with suppliers to ensure material availability, negotiate delivery schedules, and resolve any issues.
  • Logistics Optimization: Plan and coordinate the efficient movement of materials across warehouses, plants, and shipping routes.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze supply chain performance, inventory levels, and logistics costs to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Problem Solving & Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any material shortages, logistics delays, or production bottlenecks to avoid disruptions.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., procurement, operations, sales) to ensure alignment of material requirements and production goals.
  • Cost Management: Monitor logistics and material costs, working to reduce waste and inefficiencies while maintaining quality and service standards.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them, including managing contingency plans.
  • Customer Service & Communication: Maintain regular communication with customers regarding material availability, delivery status, and potential issues.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements in material planning, logistics processes, and supply chain operations.

 

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree bachelor’s in supply chain management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • Technical Skills:
    ERP Systems: Proficient in SAP, Oracle, or similar for material planning, procurement, and logistics operations.
    Data Analysis: Advanced Excel skills for analyzing supply chain performance, creating reports, and supporting decision-making.
    Logistics & Inventory Management: Strong understanding of transportation, warehousing, and inventory control to optimize material flow and minimize delays.
    Demand Forecasting & Planning: Ability to forecast demand, plan production schedules, and adjust based on inventory levels and sales forecasts.
  • Soft Skills:
    Problem Solving & Critical Thinking: Able to address logistics challenges, material shortages, and production delays proactively.
    Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers.
    Organization & Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and work efficiently under pressure.
    Teamwork & Collaboration: Comfortable working in a team environment and across departments to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Languages: English advanced – Mandatory
  • Experience: 2+ years in material planning, logistics, or supply chain management, ideally in manufacturing or production.
