Quality Engineer

 

Objective

Be responsible for acting as the customer's voice within the organization and ensure that their specific requirements are met. Ensure that external quality objectives and customer scorecard indicators, as well as the impact they represent for the company, are on target and establish continuous improvement actions.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Monitoring of customer portals (performance, scorecard, certifications) and management of improvement actions
  • Handling and responding to customer complaints and field returns within the specified period.
  • Analyze external scrap trends and establish containment and continuous improvement actions.
  • Lead validations of engineering changes and tooling replacements with the customer until approval (PPAP submission, customer review, and approval)
  • Minimize line stoppages with the customer due to quality issues.
  • Ensure deployment of containment measures for quality issues with the customer within 24 hours.
  • Attend scheduled customer meetings at the established frequency.
  • Lead monthly PFMEA and Control Plan audits.
  • Develop and implement systemic actions for problem prevention and horizontal deployment.

 

Position Requirements

  • Skilled in the use GD&T, Magma.
  • Knowledge in IATF 16949.
  • Quality Clients Platform.
  • Core tools and six sigma advanced.
  • English proficient
  • 5 years of experience in automotive companies.
