Tool Shop Manager

 

Objective

Responsible for overseeing the design, development, and implementation of die cast tools and equipment used in the die cast manufacturing process

 

Main Responsibilities

  • They manage a team of engineers and designers, ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of high-quality tooling.
  •  Their duties include creating and implementing tooling designs for new product, optimizing existing tooling for quality and performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support development.
  • Experience in engineering and design of dies for HPDC. Skilled in the use of CAD design tools such as Catia and NX for tool design.
  • Understanding of the toolmaking process including tool steel selection and fabrication.

 

Position Requirements

  • Knowledge die thermal management in the die casting process.
  • Knowledge of large high pressure die cast machines (1600 to 4500 ton and larger)
  • Knowledge of the calculation of product and die fit with specific machines.
