Objective

The Environmental Engineer in Sheboygan, Wisconsin is responsible to monitor, report, perform and coordinate activities necessary to ensure compliance with the environmental policy, the ISO 14001 Standard, legal and other requirements.

 

Main Responsibilities

· Maintains EMS documentation, annually review, update and revise EMS documentation to ensure that it reflects current practices and document necessary control points to ensure current revisions are included. Maintains EMS record keeping systems to assure compliance with record keeping and retention requirements.

· Conducts periodic process and facility EMS audits and record observations. Report procedural non-conformances to process owners in accord with CAR/PAR procedure.

· Performs environmental audits and inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards and ensure regulatory compliance with environmental standards

· Provides technical assistance, advice, coaching, guidance and mentoring to employees on environmental initiatives and necessary changes.

· Communicates issues regarding non-conformance to Leadership of HS&E as per policies and procedures.

· Monitors and evaluate the impact of regulatory changes on existing and proposed processes as well as equipment and propose compliant solutions.

· Conducts or coordinate training in environmental regulations, ISO14001 and other standards

 

Position Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering preferred

· Must understand ISO14001 standards

· Familiarity with OSHA standards preferred

· Must have strong communication skills both written and verbal
