Objective

The HR Operations Sr Specialist is responsible for working with the Human Resources Manager in developing, implementing, and coordinating human resource policies and programs for all associates, recruiting, and hiring all hourly associates, working with supervisors in the discipline of hourly associates and maintaining good public relations with the business community. Also responsible for working with the Human Resources Manager in developing, organizing, administering, and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support developing and administrating various human resources plans and procedures for all company associates and provide introductory and awareness training on occupational safety and health standards, regulations, rules, policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
  • Participate in developing department goals, objectives, and systems and recommends necessary changes. Also develop recommend programs and procedures that will assist in meeting and/or exceed RH standards.
  • Screens, interviews, and hires individuals for hourly vacancies. Coordinates drug screens for post-offer applicants. Completes all necessary paperwork for legal compliance and payroll purposes.
  • Interprets employee handbook and provides guidance to Supervisors, Managers, and employees.
  • Maintains good public relations status with local business community.
  • Assists supervisors and management with disciplinary actions and counseling for associates. Handles employee relations counseling and exit interviewing.
  • Coordinates new hire orientation programs.
  • Assists in all areas of employee activities directed by the department.
  • Coordinates all job posting and bidding information, recommends and obtains approval for associates awarded to the vacancy, and maintains bid folders.
  • Ensures that the Company's principles, policies, and programs are consistently practiced.
  • Assists the Human Resources Manager and Safety in maintaining a workplace and a safe and healthy work environment.

 

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree; Preferably in Human Resources
  • 7+ years’ Human resources experience in a manufacturing or technical environment preferred
  • Strong English verbal and written communication skills,
  • Attentive to details
  • Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information
