MP&L Specialist

 

Objective

The MP&L Specialist is responsible to manage, establish, review and maintain the production plan for Nemak Wisconsin Melt Center. They are responsible for creating master data in SAP, maintaining bills of material, routings, work centers, and other information needed for part creation.  This position will coordinate with all plants and departments for cycle counting as needed, as well as heading the annual year end inventory.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with operators to ensure inventory accuracy by validating production entry and watching for errors
  • Develops and coordinate inventory plans to ensure sufficient finished, WIP and components are sufficient to meet the customer demands and corporate inventory requirements and sales forecasts.
  • Discusses melt center demand changes with MP&L Analyst and production to ensure that proper and premium supply base is kept up, utilizing the BOSS program.
  • Prepares for and head cycle counting and year-end inventory.
  • Add SAP master data as needed, including part numbers, BOMS, routings, etc...
  • Applies statistical methods to estimate for future materials requirements.
  • Adjusts schedules in consultation with other management, production, purchasing and engineering to meet emergencies caused by increased production demands or product launches.
  • Assist and back-up the melt center analyst as needed.

 

Position Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree, Trade or Tech. School in Supply Chain or related field Education
  • 3- 5 years experience preferred; automotive experience preferred
  • Ability to manage many tasks simultaneously.
  • Extensive experience in data analysis, including report writing
  • Working knowledge of ERP system.
  • Excellent communication skills (English required)
  • Experience with the following systems: SAP, Excel, Covisine, and eSupplier connect
