Objective

The NORIS Specialist is responsible for onsite Support and Development of Nemak data acquisition, reporting and analysis system on daily plant operations. Responsible for preparing datasets that allow easy analysis of operational data and preparing key reporting architecture that presents operational data in the standard format of Nemak and collaboration on data acquisition design (NORIS) based on global standards. This person will provide digital (Information Systems) solutions to aid process visibility that can improve productivity for manufacturing, business processes, inventory reliability (EBITDA), contractual compliance with client (Traceability) and identify OEE opportunities for improvement. They will work closely with IT and other functional areas to identify opportunities to enhance and implement NORIS initiatives.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain the NORIS Master Data
  • Ensure NORIS and SAP data match and troubleshoot issues
  • Design data architecture to ensure reliability of information and operation needs
  • Execute NORIS Scorecard assessment annually
  • Develop reports based on data from NORIS and other systems to aid in problem solving and visual management
  • Identify and promote business enhancements and value using data analytics and smart technologies
  • Engineering requirements for continuous improvement of NORIS projects
  • Plan, Develop and Implement new NORIS features

 

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering industrial, mechanical, computer technology or information technology

 

  • 2-3 years of experience
  • Programming experience with any of the following: MS Excel, MS Access, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, etc.
  • Interest in data analytics and related programming
  • Strong English written and verbal communication
  • Project Management skills
  • Ability to prioritize workflow and have a sense of urgency
  • Interest and eagerness to learn new technologies, and apply them to solve problems
  • Experience with report development in SSRS, Tableau, or similar preferred
  • Experience with SAP preferred
