OT Controls Sr Specialist

Objective
The OT Controls Senior Specialist for safeguarding the plant's operational technology (OT) environment, ensuring the secure, reliable, and compliant operation of industrial control systems (ICS), robotics, and connected manufacturing assets. This role drives cybersecurity strategy for the plant floor, bridging IT and OT teams to protect industrial equipment within the plants and supporting infrastructure from cyber threats while enabling safe and efficient operations.
Main Responsibilities
- Supports the development and implementation of the plant's OT cybersecurity roadmap aligned with corporate security standards and industry frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, IEC 62443, ISO 27001)
- Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for OT cybersecurity across manufacturing, maintenance, engineering, and IT teams. Lead risk assessments, threat modeling, and mitigation planning for industrial automation systems
- Manage and report on OT cybersecurity KPIs, audit readiness, and compliance documentation
- Maintain an asset inventory of OT systems, networks, and software versions, and coordinate patching and vulnerability management.
- Collaborate with Plant and BU teams. Partner with OEMs, integrators, and vendors to ensure secure deployment and lifecycle management of industrial equipment.
- Provide training and awareness programs for plant personnel on OT cybersecurity practices.
- Drive continuous improvement in system resilience and recovery capabilities to emerging threats, vulnerabilities and best practices in OT/ICS security.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5-7+ years relevant experience focusing on health and safety issues in manufacturing environments. Foundry experience is an asset
- Industrial control systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS, robotics, HMIs)
- Network security (firewalls, IDS/IPS, segmentation)
- Standards & frameworks: NIST CSF, ISA/IEC 62443, ISO 27001
- Familiarity with manufacturing technologies (FANUC, Rockwell, Siemens, etc.)
- Certifications (preferred): GICSP, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
