Objective

Manages major capital equipment and tooling projects, relative to machining, part washing, assembly, leak detection, gauging, automation and packaging to company standards that meet program timing plans.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Manages major capital equipment and tooling projects, relative to machining, part washing, assembly, leak detection, gauging, automation and packaging to company standards that meet program timing plans.
  • Develop and expand on CNC Tooling and fixturing initiatives that are currently in place and apply best practices to upcoming programs to Nemak. • Supports management of CNC programming and tooling inventory, and applies robust machining and tooling practices.
  • Leads company technical development for new technologies related to machining, automation and assembly.
  • Performs capability analysis and review on all new capital equipment
  • Supports Estimating department to define technical requirements to obtain an accurate tool quote and to assess feasibility.
  • Leads new program requirements and communication for machining and secondary operations requirements Including customer purchasing, engineering, and manufacturing to assure a robust process.
  • Provides plant productivity support for automation and plant engineering and apply lean activities.

 

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred, Associates Required
  • CNC Programming experience preferred
  • Tool Design and Fixture design experience preferred
  • AutoCAD, Robot Studio, NX, basic SAP experience preferred
