Sr. Advanced Manufacturing Engineer

Objective
The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer is responsible to lead and ensure that new equipment purchases are specified, sourced, qualified, and properly transitioned into mass production, meeting Nemak and customer requirements and timing.
Main Responsibilities
- Development of manufacturing plan including process design, feasibility analysis and capacity studies
- Ensure that the process meets safety, quality, time, capacity and cost requirements.
- Specification, validation and start up of machinery, tools and ancillary equipment
- Process documentation and training
- Meeting all applicable PPAP, APQP, NPDS and customer specific requirements
- Problem solving of issues related to manufacturing processes
- Technical relationship with customers and suppliers
- Ensure compliance of capex and manufacturing costs budget
- Implementation of engineering changes during the launch
- Obtain process approval from customers
- Handover the process to production"
Position Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Working proficiency of GD&T and SPC
- Basic knowledge of metrology
- Basic knowledge of CAD/CAM software (AutoCAD, Solidworks, NX, etc.)
- Minimum 1 years of CNC Machining and manufacturing experience
- Welding, Laser cutting, deburring processes, assembly experience is highly desirable
- Basic knowledge of finance and budgeting is desirable
- Ability to work with a multi-functional team with internal and external members including customers and suppliers
- Availability to travel nationally and abroad
