Objective

 

Mechanical Engineer is responsible for working closely with the product launch teams to ensure all the maintenance deliverables for new equipment are achieved.

 

Main Responsibilities

 

• Candidate will work closely with the maintenance execution and planning teams.

•Tasks will include the standardization of the equipment documentation database including line side documentation promoting the empowerment of the maintenance technicians.

•Implement continuous improvement thru mechanical redesigns.

•Develop close working relationships with equipment OEM, These relationships will be used as the main interface between maintenance and the OEM for technical support and training needs.

•The mechanical engineer must work closely with the reliability and planning team to ensure the preventive and predictive maintenance programs are effective for sustainment and improvement as well as compliant to our customer and ISO requirements.

•Must work closely with the product launch teams to ensure all the maintenance deliverables for new equipment are achieved. This will include the participation in the validation and commissioning of equipment on site. Initial training and first level expertise. Organization of all equipment documentation to meet the standard formats and hierarchy.

 

Position Requirements

 

 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering related field preferred.

 

•  Mechanical Engineering background with skills in 2D and 3D mechanical drawing creation. Must have high level of office skills so that line side documentation can be created for multiple types of equipment.

CMMS knowledge and experience desirable.

• English

• Minimum 3 years' Mechanical engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. Automotive Manufacturing a plus

•CMMS expertise and experience required. SAP expertise a plus.
