Objective | ||
The Production Manager ensures that production schedules are met while maintaining the highest possible quality of parts machined and inspected within machining operations. Supervisor ensures that associates are properly trained in procedures and work instructions for their job classification. He/she assigns associates of the department jobs based on daily production schedule in line with the competency and expertise of the individual associate. | ||
Main Responsibilities | ||
•With assistance from production supervisors, manages all process steps of production. •Ensures that supervisors competently supervise their areas or responsibility ensuring fair and equal treatment to all associates. •Assigns daily production schedule requirements to appropriate departments under his overview. •Ensures that all production reports are submitted in an accurate manner and on a timely basis. •Reviews and approves as appropriate all performance evaluations and corrective actions submitted by supervisors. •Interacts regularly with managers and supervisors or other departments to ensure that overall plant operations are effective. •Ensures safe work practices from all supervisors and associates. •Ensures high quality products are produced in a timely manner as required by production schedules. •Tracks rate and causes of scrap on a daily, shift-by-shift basis. •Performs all task requested by Department Manager, Director and/or other management personnel. •Follows all safety rules and regulations and ensure work areas are clean and orderly at all times. |

Position Requirements | ||
Education • Associate's Degree, Trade, or Tech School also acceptable Experience • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in supervisory role in a manufacturing environment • Experience in a machining operation preferred Technical skills • Proficiency in MS Office Soft skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Good reasoning abilities and sound judgment |
