Casting Simulation Engineer

Objective  
The Casting Simulation Engineer will be responsible for completing casting simulation and analysis to suport internal as well as customer requests.  
Main Responsibilities  

• Performs pre and post analysis tasks necessary to complete a casting simulation.
• Creates reports documenting the results as well as recommendations from the analysis.
• Sets up and manages analysis to run on casting simulation computers.
• Performs CAD modeling to support the needs of pre-analysis tasks.

•Simulation engineer is responsible for ensuring the simulations make sense based on physics (fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, mechanical stress, and heat treatment) and understanding of the numerical analysis of software being used (ensure timestep and convergence is met). 
•Simulation engineer must communicate with product, process, tooling, and quality engineers to ensure they understand the problems at hand and ensure that their suggestions for improvements are feasible
•Simulation engineer is responsible for ensure all input data is correct (from process and tooling engineers)  and that they make sense for the requested simulations
•Simulation engineer is responsible for following all processes that pertain to simulations and PLM
•Develop and design heat treatment racks using CAD standards for simulations

 
Position Requirements  
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• Experience in casting simulation engineering
• Understanding of die casting processes
• Knowledge in EKK, magmasoft, procast or flow 3d software
• ISO 14001 or ISO/TS 16949
