Objective

 

As a Manufacturing Digitalization & IIOT Specialist (M/F/D), you will drive forward the digital transformation of our manufacturing processes. We are looking for committed individuals who want to break new ground with us and actively shape the future of production.

 

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Further development and support of our internal MES (Manufacturing Execution System)
  • Integration of new machines and systems into the digital infrastructure (shop floor connectivity, industrial IoT, OPC UA, MQTT, REST APIs)
  • Migration of existing system connections to Ignition SCADA
  • Customizing and developing solutions based on Ignition Perspective
  • Participating in the development and introduction of new digital manufacturing applications
  • Administration and optimization of SQL databases (T-SQL, MS SQL Server)
  • Scripting and automation with Python or comparable languages
  • Operational sub-project management for the introduction of new applications, including coordination of requirements and stakeholders
  • Creation of reports and dashboards with SSRS, Power BI, and other BI tools
  • Provision and analysis of production data for decision support
  • Interface support
  • Perspective: Introduction of AI-supported solutions for the optimization of manufacturing processes

 

Position Requirements

 

  • Degree in IT, automation technology, production engineering, engineering, or comparable qualification
  • Experience with MES systems and Ignition desirable
  • Knowledge of interface integration (OPC UA, MQTT, REST APIs)
  • Confident use of T-SQL, Python
  • Experience with reporting tools such as SSRS, Power BI
  • Experience in project coordination and stakeholder management
  • Structured approach to work, ability to work in a team, personal responsibility
  • German language skills (business fluent)
  • English language skills (business fluent)

 

Beneficial Skills

 

  • Experience with Ignition Perspective and customizing HMI/SCADA interfaces
  • Knowledge of other programming languages (e.g., C#, Java)
  • Experience with agile methods (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Knowledge of system architecture, data modeling
  • Experience with industrial IT, smart factory, digital twin, IIoT
  • Interest or initial experience in the field of artificial intelligence in manufacturing
