Objective

As an Automation Specialist (M/F/D), you will analyze the functional relationships and process sequences of automated systems and design modifications and extensions.

You will develop and implement innovative automation concepts to optimize quality, costs and productivity.

 

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Design, plan, install and commission systems and components
    • Create automation concepts
    • Draw up specifications and select suppliers
    • Install, adapt and adjust components and devices, operating systems, bus systems and networks
    • Program automation systems
    • Connect components to form complex automation systems, integrate automation systems into higher-level systems
    • Test automation systems, commission automation systems and hand them over to users and instruct them in their operation, to users and instruct them in their operation
  • Support maintenance in troubleshooting and repairing automated systems
    • Data backup and repair of PC-based systems
    • Maintenance of programming stations
    • Updating the software versions of programming stations
  • Documenting work and taking specifications into account
    • Creating and evaluating documentation, taking manufacturer specifications and other documents into account
    • Taking relevant laws and regulations, operating specifications and user requirements into account

 

Position Requirements

 

  • At least 4 years of university education or at least 3 years of specialist vocational training and at least 2 years of specialist training as well as many years of professional experience (>5 years) with additional special training
  • Specialist knowledge in:
    • Basic commissioning ABB, IRC5, Omnicore
    • Safe Move Application Safemove 1 and 2 ABB
    • Software development and IBN ABB
    • Software development and programming of Siemens-based systems PLC, HMI
    • Vision systems and camera applications VisionTools, Keyence
    • Bus and network systems and their structure
  • German language skills (business fluent)
  • English language skills (business fluent)
